Current Rates effective May 15, 2026
South Coast Gas current rates consist of four components. The Louisiana Public Service Commission regulates all four of these components.
- The first component is the customer charge. The current customer charge for residential customers is $11.48 per month. The current customer charge for small commercial customers is $7.99 per month.
- The second component of the rate is the allowed rate on the volume of gas used. The current rate allowed for residential customers is $0.33728 per 100 cubic feet (the volume registered on South Coast meters). The current rate allowed for small commercial customers is $0.39773 per 100 cubic feet.
- The third component is the purchased gas adjustment (PGA). The PGA is the average cost of the gas on a monthly basis. The items that go into this cost is strictly monitored by the Louisiana Public Service Commission. The current month’s PGA is $1.03953.
To calculate this month’s residential bill:
Multiply your consumption by ($0.33728 + $1.03953), then add $11.48 (Residential Charge)
A consumption of 15 would equal a bill of $32.13.
15 x ($0.33728 + $1.03953) + $11.48 = $32.13.
