Pierre Part Natural Gas Current Rates

Current Rates effective March 15, 2025

Pierre Part Natural Gas rates consist of three components.  The Louisiana Public Service Commission regulates all three of these components.

  1. The first component is the customer charge.  The current customer charge for residential customers is $12.84 per month.  The current customer charge for small commercial customers is $9.34 per month.
  2. The second component of the rate is the allowed rate on the volume of gas used.  The current rate allowed for residential customers is $.82929 per 100 cubic feet (the volume registered on Pierre Part meters).  The current rate allowed for small commercial customers is $1.01262 per 100 cubic feet.
  3. The third component is the purchased gas adjustment (PGA).  The PGA is the average cost of the gas on a monthly basis.  The items that go into this cost is strictly monitored by the LPSC.  The current month’s PGA is $1.02062.

To calculate this month’s residential bill:

Multiply your consumption by (.82929 + 1.020262), then add $12.84 (Residential Charge).

A consumption of 15 would equal a bill of $40.59.

15 x (.82929 + 1.020262) + $12.84 = $40.59.
