Current Rates effective March 15, 2025
Pierre Part Natural Gas rates consist of three components. The Louisiana Public Service Commission regulates all three of these components.
- The first component is the customer charge. The current customer charge for residential customers is $12.84 per month. The current customer charge for small commercial customers is $9.34 per month.
- The second component of the rate is the allowed rate on the volume of gas used. The current rate allowed for residential customers is $.82929 per 100 cubic feet (the volume registered on Pierre Part meters). The current rate allowed for small commercial customers is $1.01262 per 100 cubic feet.
- The third component is the purchased gas adjustment (PGA). The PGA is the average cost of the gas on a monthly basis. The items that go into this cost is strictly monitored by the LPSC. The current month’s PGA is $1.02062.
To calculate this month’s residential bill:
Multiply your consumption by (.82929 + 1.020262), then add $12.84 (Residential Charge).
A consumption of 15 would equal a bill of $40.59.
15 x (.82929 + 1.020262) + $12.84 = $40.59.
