South Coast Gas Current Rates

Rates are effective April 15, 2024

South Coast Gas rates consist of three components.  The Louisiana Public Service Commission regulates all three components.

  1. The first is the customer charge.  The current customer  charge for residential customers is $11.48 per month.  The current customer charge for small commercial customers is $7.99 per month.
  2. The second component of the rate is the allowed rate on the volume of gas used.  The current rate allowed for residential customers is $.32088 per 10 cubic feet (the volume registered on South Coast meters).  The current rate allowed for small commercial customers is $.38133 per 10 cubic feet.
  3. The third component is the purchased gas adjustment (PGA).  The PGA is the average cost of the gas on a monthly basis.  The items that go into this cost is strictly monitored by the LPSC.  The current month’s PGA is $.64532.

To calculate this month’s residential bill:

Multiply your consumption by (.32088 + .64532), then add $11.48.

A consumption of 15 would equal a bill of $25.97.

15 x (.32088 + .64532) + $11.48 = $25.97.
